FSDN calculator for the selection of agricultural holdings into the representative sample
The FSDN calculator is a key tool for determining the type and economic size of agricultural holdings and for their selection into the representative sample within the FSDN system. It is based on the calculation of Standard Output (SO).
The result of the calculation in the FSDN calculator determines the economic size class and type to which a holding is assigned, which are the fundamental criteria for forming strata in the sampling process. In this way, the calculator directly contributes to the selection plan and to ensuring the representativeness of the FSDN sample, as it supports the allocation of holdings by type of farming, economic size, and regional affiliation.
Ultimately, the FSDN calculator enables a more precise selection of holdings for participation in the survey, increases the reliability of the collected data, and facilitates the comparability of results at national and European levels.
The FSDN calculator is used exclusively for the selection of agricultural holdings into the representative FSDN sample for the 2025–2027 reporting period.
